NOTES:

• Jerome's petition for naturalization, received by mail from the USCIS Genealogy Program.
• This document is hard to read! which is presumably why they sent both a lighter photocopy and a darker one.
• At the bottom of the form there are two witnesses, Samuel Posner (Jerome's brother) and Harry [? -- his last name is hard to read].
• A letter from the USCIS Genealogy Program explained they had redacted small sections of the documents to protect the privacy of people other than the naturalized citizen—the "(b)(6)" stamped in the margin refers to the relevant exemption to the U.S. Freedom of Information Act. I think the redacted information is probably the birth date of Jerome's children Beatrice and Sidney.
• This shows that as of June 1921 the family was living in Hollis, a neighbourhood in the borough of Queens. This is a change from Staten Island, where they had still been living as of the census taken in January 1920.
• Knowing what words to expect (because of Jerome's much-easier-to-read 1916 declaration of intention) makes it possible to figure out some words. Here is an attempt to transcribe it.
