Andrews Academic Achievement Award
An Andrews Academic Achievement Award will be awarded to
any particularly outstanding students who receive an MSc degree from
the Department of Statistics at the University of Toronto.
Students will be judged on the following criteria:
- level of difficulty of courses chosen;
- course grades earned;
- impression made on professors;
- any special work such as Research Project courses,
Statistical Consulting, etc.;
- contributions to student and department life.
No application is required; all graduating MSc students will be
considered. Certificates will be awarded by the Associate Chair,
Graduate Studies upon the advice of the department faculty.
The certificates are named in honour of Professor David F. Andrews, who
taught and inspired legions of statistics students at the University of
Toronto as a faculty member from 1971 to 2001.
