LEIA BLACK & FIVE CHILDREN - CANCELLED VOYAGE - MARCH 4, 1905
NOTES:
- This passenger manifest seems to show that Leia Blech (Samuel's mother), with five children including Samuel, was planning to sail from Southampton to New York City on March 4, 1905, but did not sail. If they had sailed, they would have arrived on March 13. According to "A Guide to Interpreting Passenger List Annotations" by Marian L. Smith, "Often passengers booked to sail on a given ship did not depart. Perhaps they missed the ship, or changed their travel plans, or became ill and health officials prevented them from boarding the ship."
- They were going to join Leia's husband / the children's father A. Blech at 105 Rivington in New York -- see this address today in Google Maps.
