• Here are my notes about this document:
  • The address is 33 Canal St. (in Manhattan on the Lower East Side). See this address today in Google Maps.
  • I think the Max or Nathan Freedman is probably part of the Freedman family listed earlier on the page at #31 Canal St., since he has their last name and his relationship to the head of the family is described as "Son." At first I thought maybe he was boarding with the Rosenthal family, but now I think he was part of the Freedman household and was added late by the census taker, since in the house number next to his name, it looks as though a "1" was written on top of a "3" (to change it from "33" to "31"?).
  • Rose was listed as being 34 in the 1920 census, and here in the 1925 census she is listed as being only one year older, age 35).
  • The occupations are given as:
    • Abraham Rosenthal: Baker
    • Sarah Rosenthal: Housewife
    • Rose Shaeffer: Button hole maker
    • Ida Rosenthal: Saleslady
    • Morris Rosenthal: Broker(?)
    • Samuel Rosenthal: Student
    • Miriam Shaeffer: School girl
  • For the number of years in the U.S., it says looks like it says "25" for Abraham and Sarah and 20 for Rose.
  • Abraham, Sarah, and Rose are all listed as "aliens." But actually we know that Abraham had been naturalized in 1922.
